The Gargano area has a historic-naturalistic heritage and Peschici, for his geographical position, allows the guests to make excursions. With daily departures from the Peschici port, you can visit the marine caves “grotte” the Garganic cost line and the Tremiti Islands. Following the religious route, the are regular trips to San Giovanni Rotondo, home of recently beatified monk Padre Pio and Monte Sant’Angelo, one of the Christian route of pilgrimage, where the angel Michael appeared.The naturalistic scenery is dominated by the Gargano National Park, which has his heart in the Foresta Umbra. It contains an immense variety of secular trees, a rich fauna as well as natural springs and small lakes. Much further south, you can visit the “grotte di Castellana” ( Castellana’s caves), The famous “trulli” village in Alberobello, the Zoo in Fasano and Castel del Monte di Andria.

All the Garganic area has been inhabited since the Stone Age: The numerous archaeological finds around Peschici (in particular the Manaccora Bay) suggests that there had always been a prolonged human presence since the Bronze Age.
